Job summary

Leisure People is seeking a Golf Centre Manager for a premier venue on the edge of Luton, featuring 18-hole and 9-hole courses, Toptracer driving range, Foot-Golf, and golf retail. You will manage day-to-day operations, lead a commercial team, and collaborate with PGA pros to grow participation and revenue.

The role involves working with outsourced catering, developing coaching pathways, and expanding ancillary revenue, with a focus on customer experience and community health.

Qualifications

• Interest in golf and customer-focused mindset.
• Operational management experience in high-volume sports or leisure.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in teams.
• Hands-on leader who supports staff and engages with customers.
• Own transport and live within commuting distance of Luton.
• Experience managing outsourced service suppliers.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily golf operations to ensure high standards and great member experiences.
• Maximise revenue from green fees, memberships, driving range, retail, and events.
• Lead the site sales and retail team of golf operations assistants.
• Collaborate with PGA professionals to develop coaching programs and pathways.
• Develop Toptracer driving range offerings and maximise bay usage.
• Enhance ancillary revenue from buggy/trolley hire and retail.
• Coordinate with cluster GM, Head Greenkeeper and outsourced F&B, events and membership teams.
