Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a mid-level Golang engineer to strengthen our backend platforms connecting grocery partners with the JET ecosystem. You will work primarily in Go to build features, scale our event-driven microservices, and participate in architectural decisions while supporting product teams.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, practice TDD, and leverage AI-assisted development tools. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic, globally connected tech environment.

Qualifications

• Backend engineering experience with production Go or other modern backend languages
• Solid Go fundamentals: concurrency, error handling and interfaces
• Experience with microservices and event-driven design
• Experience delivering production services end-to-end with observability
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build new features in Go for the core platform
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform evolution
• Support product and delivery teams
• Learn from senior engineers and share knowledge with the team
• Engage in pair programming and code reviews
