Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is hiring for a Golang Engineering role focused on connecting Grocery Partners with the Just Eat Takeaway platform. You will develop in Go, operate microservices on Kubernetes, and use AI-assisted tools like Claude Code and Kiro to move quickly while upholding engineering judgment.

You’ll work with event-driven architecture, contribute to core platform features, and mentor peers as you grow from mid to senior level.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of production Go experience (or 2+ years in another modern backend language)
• Solid Go fundamentals: concurrency, error handling, interfaces
• Experience with microservice and event-driven design
• Built and operated at least one production service end-to-end with monitoring
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Responsibilities

• Build new features in Go within our core platform
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform evolution
• Support product and delivery teams with reliable services
• Learn from senior engineers and share knowledge with the team
• Collaborate using AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality
