Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a mid-level Golang engineer to help connect Grocery Partners with the Just Eat Takeaway platform. You’ll work primarily in Go on event-driven microservices, contributing to architecture and supporting product teams.

You’ll grow toward senior level while delivering reliable services with monitoring and ownership. You’ll collaborate in a fast-paced, international environment, where AI-assisted development tools are part of daily practice, and pair programming is

Qualifications

• Several years of backend engineering with production Go experience.
• Solid Go fundamentals: concurrency, error handling and interfaces.
• Microservice and event-driven design experience.
• Built and run at least one production service end to end, including monitoring.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Curiosity and ownership, plus strong communication.
• AI-assisted development: familiarity with tools like Claude Code and Kiro.
• Pair programming experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container platforms would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build new features in Go for our core platform.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help move the platform forward.
• Support product and delivery teams to ensure reliable deployments.
• Learn from senior engineers and share knowledge with the team.
