Job summary

Asda Opticians is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join a team focused on high-quality patient care. You will perform eye examinations, contact lens and extended service assessments, and work with the team to deliver NHS services and maintain standards.

You will be supported with CPD opportunities, training, and accreditation progress, with flexible working options and a strong commitment to Garda patient satisfaction and care excellence.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Registered NHS performer with your NHS area team or health board.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months; funded by Asda).
• On track to meet CPD points requirements.
• Demonstrates passion for delivering excellent patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Complete eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations.
• Support Dispensing Optician Manager with training and coaching.
• Deliver NHS extended eye care services and contribute to accreditation needs.
• Maintain departmental standards and provide high quality patient care.
