Job summary

Client Server Limited in London is hiring a Backend Software Engineer (Go) to build scalable backend services for energy trading platforms, with hybrid working including the London office twice a week.

You will work with Go, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, TimescaleDB, S3, Athena, Pulsar and AWS to develop microservices and APIs, while embracing event-driven architectures and GitLab CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Go or other OO languages, with a preference for Go.
• Cloud native development experience on AWS.
• Experience with microservices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of database technologies and event-driven architectures.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Flexible mindset and ability to navigate changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services for energy trading platforms.
• Work on data processing from battery sites and public APIs.
• Contribute to event-driven architecture and CI/CD practices (GitLab).
• Mentor and share best practices with engineers and shape technical direction.
