Job summary

Itecopeople is seeking a Backend Developer in London to join a hybrid, 2-days-on-site role within an AI and automation team. You will design, build and maintain Go-based microservices on a cloud-native Azure platform and connect enterprise systems with REST APIs, events and integrations.

You will work in a small collaborative engineering team, containerising services with Docker/Kubernetes and contributing across the full development lifecycle in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience with substantial Go expertise.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform, Git, CI/CD and GitOps practices.
• Commitment to clean, well-tested code and experience in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services, primarily in Go, with Python where appropriate.
• Develop REST APIs, webhooks and event-driven integrations.
• Contribute across design, testing, deployment and support lifecycle.
