Job summary

Catalent is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Shift Engineer for our Swindon site. You will ensure safe operation of utility systems, perform planned maintenance, diagnose faults, and support improvements in a GMP environment. The role is 100% onsite with a 2 days/2 nights/4 days off shift pattern.

You will work with production teams and contractors to deliver reliable equipment, quality product output, and energy efficiency while complying with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent Mechanical or Electrical qualification.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Essential: HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, chilled water, purified water, cooling towers, vacuum systems and freeze dryers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utility systems and plant equipment.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and respond to faults/breakdowns.
• Drive continuous improvement to maximise equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise in a GMP environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
