Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is recruiting a General Manager for Testing & Inspection, Medical & Pharmaceutical. The role oversees multiple acquired businesses, drives KPI implementation, and ensures seamless integration while retaining customers and optimizing profitability.

The position demands a hands-on leader who can travel UK-wide, set high operating standards, and guide growth through acquisitions. Home-based with UK scope, the role offers equity potential and a large annual salary target.

Qualifications

A long track record of managing a P&L (£25m+) across multiple sites or businesses.
Exposure to M&A work and process would be a distinct advantage.
Experience in scientific, medical or pharmaceutical industries could be beneficial.
Hands-on management style with ability to lead through acquisitions and integration.

Responsibilities

Install KPIs for acquired businesses to measure safety, quality, on-time delivery daily.
Protect customers and retain 100% during transition.
Own the Profit & Loss across each acquired business.
Upgrade teams and implement succession planning at each site.
Be on site, visible, and set operating discipline for quality and continuous improvement.
