Job IntroductionJob Title: Ground Maintenance OperativeSalary: £25,726.13 per annumLocation: Action Gate, Stafford and surrounding areasHours: 36 hour working week - on a seasonal basisAbout the role: To assist with the delivery of basic repairs and housekeeping services and provide support with the delivery of the grounds maintenance service & provide other general assistance as instructed.What you’ll do:As a grounds maintenance operative you will be reasonable for the following:To undertake collection/Delivery of materials, plant & equipment from suppliers to sitesTo undertake collection/Delivery of materials, in support of operatives.To unload, store and stack materials that are delivered to sites.Ensuring all associated documentation is effectively and efficiently completed and accounted forTo tidy up the work area during and after the job.Keeping to and updating schedules that document what needs to be completed and the order in which each task needs to be completed & detail how many hours have been workedCarry out general labouring duties including, but not limited to, small works, building fabric repairs and general building maintenance tasksTo use hand power tools for building fabric repairs and small worksCarry out labouring duties in support of cleaning services across sheltered and general needs housing.To report any additional items or defects encountered during the course of day-to-day work to the appropriate person(s).To undertake general grounds maintenance and gardening services duties to include:-Grass cuttingGutter cleaningDomestic PaintingGulley cleaningFencingSlab repairHedge trimmingFlower bed maintenanceWeedingFertilizing plants and grassEnsuring that all sites are kept clean and tidy and free of litterWhat we’re looking for:Experience of simple grounds keepingUnderstanding of Health and Safety IssuesAbility to undertake a patient approach with work situationsAbility to complete assignments and take tasks through to completionAbility to maintain confidentialityValues diversity and shares commitment to equal opportunitiesFlexible in working approachTakes ownership of tasksCommitment to safe working practicePrepared to challenge oneself and try new thingsAble to work on ones own as well as being integral to the teamThis post does require the post-holder to carry out duties of physical nature other than light lifting.
