Job summary

Aave Labs is seeking a VP, Compliance to lead our global compliance function across regulated and unregulated parts of the Group. You will partner with executive leadership, Legal, Product, Engineering and Operations to build a scalable compliance program that enables growth while managing risk.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Compliance, Financial Crime, or regulatory functions within financial services or crypto.
• Experience operating at group or enterprise level across multiple products and jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to advise executive leadership and Boards on complex compliance matters.
• Strong regulatory relationships with financial regulators.
• Knowledge of UK, EU, and US regulatory frameworks for crypto and payments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group compliance strategy and framework across products, entities and jurisdictions.
• Oversee regulated entities ensuring obligations are met while guiding unregulated businesses.
• Advise senior leadership and Boards on regulatory risk with pragmatic guidance.
• Embed regulatory requirements into product design and customer journeys.
• Manage AML/CTF, sanctions, and other financial crime controls.
• Maintain regulator relationships and oversee regulatory applications and examinations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into actions for the business.
• Provide clear regulatory reporting to Boards and leadership.
