Job summary

Avalere Health Group is seeking a Head of Compliance & Data Privacy to lead global compliance and data privacy programmes. You will work with senior leaders to manage regulatory risk, advise on privacy, and implement practical AI compliance controls across jurisdictions.

Reporting to the GC, you will champion an ethical culture, oversee risk-based due diligence, and collaborate with Information Security, Legal and Engineering to balance risk with growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on compliance experience in-house, advisory, or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of global data privacy requirements (GDPR-focused) and data protection practices.
• Experience translating AI regulations into practical compliance controls.
• Experience with third-party due diligence, ABAC, and policy enforcement.
• Ability to build, lead and mentor compliance teams and cross-functional partners.
• Proven ability to advise senior leaders and balance risk with commercial goals.
• Demonstrated leadership accountability and capability-building.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve Avalere Health’s global compliance programme and governance framework.
• Advise on privacy by design, risk controls, DPIAs and processing activities; escalate where needed.
• Monitor AI legislation and translate requirements into practical processes and controls.
• Oversee anti-bribery, conflicts and third-party due diligence with proportionate mitigations.
• Develop and maintain policies, training, assurance reporting and action tracking.
• Manage incidents, investigations and regulatory responses with stakeholders.
• Provide clear leadership direction and stakeholder engagement across functions.
