Checkout.com, London HQ, is seeking an experienced financial crime compliance lead to establish, grow, and maintain a global second-line team for mass-market products. You will oversee the global compliance framework, work with regional MLROs, and partner with Risk, Operations, and Product teams to drive consistent controls across regions.

The role offers a hybrid work model and a clear path to scale the team across multiple regions as products expand, with emphasis on AML/CFT/Sanctions/Fraud

Formación

• 6+ years of second-line compliance experience in fintech, payments, or banking at scale.
• Deep expertise in financial crime risk (AML/CFT/Sanctions/Fraud).
• Experience growing and leading a team, with cross-border/global management experience desirable.
• Proven track record in architecting frameworks for high-volume environments and working with technical/product stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Build the global framework for second-line escalations for new products, aligning with regional MLROs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Risk, Operations and Product teams.
• Monitor regulatory guidance and emerging trends to update control framework.
• Design and deliver training on financial crime and fraud risks for business and compliance teams.
• Ensure compliance-by-design by integrating requirements early in product development.
• Own mapping and maintenance of SDD, CDD and EDD for evolving products.
• Provide strategic advisory to Product and Operations on automation and scalability.
• Integrate risk assessments with regional MLROs for product risk profiling.
• Implement robust compliance monitoring with Assurance and Internal Controls.
