Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a Product Manager within the Global VAT Compliance & Reporting (GVCR) team. You will be a key link between VAT teams, delivery teams, internal Technology, and third-party providers to keep VAT tools fit for purpose and aligned with evolving requirements.

You will own tool functionality, drive a clear improvement roadmap, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into precise product and technical requirements. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of VAT compliance processes and EU VAT experience.
• Experience managing a product, platform or technology-enabled business process.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear product and technical requirements.
• Experience working with IT, technology and development teams.
• Commercial and operational mindset with focus on efficiency, scalability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the third-party tools used in the VAT preparation process, including functionality, configuration, maintenance, updates and ongoing improvement.
• Work closely with VAT specialists, delivery teams and users to translate operational needs into clear product requirements.
• Maintain and update a product roadmap for all third-party VAT preparation tools, prioritising enhancements based on business needs.
• Manage relationships with third-party providers, track issues, actions and delivery, escalating risks as needed.
• Monitor tool performance and user feedback to improve efficiency, data quality, controls and VAT return preparation.
• Ensure alignment with VAT rules, compliance requirements and business processes with VAT technical teams.
• Identify opportunities to standardise tool use and improve scalability across clients and entities.
