Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a GVRC Compliance Manager to lead VAT compliance engagements across the UK, EU and beyond. You’ll oversee the accuracy of indirect tax filings and act as the central contact for clients, delivering high-quality tax reporting for a diverse client portfolio.

You will mentor junior team members, drive process improvements, and leverage Excel and Alteryx to increase efficiency. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to shape VAT services globally.

Qualifications

• Strong VAT compliance skills, ideally from a European or global role.
• Passion for VAT process improvement and technology enablement.
• Solid experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, and similar tools.
• Excellent relationship management and ability to handle international projects.

Responsibilities

• Delivering accurate, timely VAT compliance services across UK, EU, and international markets.
• Providing expert insights on VAT returns and assuring quality in indirect tax filings.
• Becoming a trusted advisor for clients by understanding their unique VAT requirements and anticipating compliance opportunities.
• Supporting efficiency improvements by building a knowledge centre for VAT compliance within the team.
• Leading and developing junior team members in VAT compliance and client service.
