Job summary

RSM UK is seeking a Global VAT E-Invoicing Manager to advise clients on global e-invoicing and digital reporting, coordinating with international teams and third‑party providers. You will lead workshops, develop solutions and drive business development in a growing advisory service.

The role blends regulatory insight with technical credibility, requiring strong client-facing skills and a proactive approach within a hybrid UK setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in e-invoicing, digital reporting, tax technology or related regulatory transformation.
• Experience advising clients on e-invoicing requirements, regulatory change, implementation projects or technology-enabled compliance.
• Understanding of data flows and formats (XML, delimited files) and system integrations.
• Experience with third-party e-invoicing solutions and awareness of main providers and capabilities.
• Experience in professional services, consulting or client-facing advisory environments preferred.
• Experience supporting business development, proposals, scoping engagements or GTM initiatives.
• Experience coordinating projects with multidisciplinary or international teams.
• Background in VAT/indirect tax or financial systems beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on global e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements, translating regulatory developments into practical business implications.
• Serve as a primary client contact on e-invoicing mandates, implementation approaches, operating models and solution feasibility.
• Lead and contribute to client workshops, readiness assessments, gap analyses and solution design activities.
• Develop trusted client relationships by providing clear, pragmatic, commercially relevant advice.
• Take responsibility for key aspects of engagements from scoping to go-live, including testing and data requirements.
• Coordinate with technical specialists, project managers, providers and stakeholders to support implementation.
• Assist in issue resolution, data structure reviews, XML outputs and integration requirements.
• Identify delivery risks early and drive resolution in conjunction with the team.
• Contribute to QA, risk management and continuous improvement to meet client expectations and regulatory needs.
• Act as a key interface between clients, internal teams and e-invoicing providers.
• Build relationships with technology partners and understand their capabilities.
