Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join the global technical sales team, acting as the primary customer and distributor interface across international channels for LAND products.

The role manages the full lifecycle of customer enquiries and projects, from initial contact through feasibility, solution configuration, validation and order acceptance. As the technical lead, you will coordinate stakeholders, support engineering discussions, and guide complex decisions to deliver

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in project engineering, application engineering, or technical solution delivery.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong understanding of engineering validation, configuration control, and technical risk management.
• Experience working with customers or distributors (ideally globally).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; experience with SAP, CRM, or engineering management systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical projects from initial customer enquiry through specification, solution design, validation, and handover.
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers, sales and distributors during project execution, providing application expertise and engineering guidance.
• Support the preparation of technically accurate proposals, quotations, and solution documentation in collaboration with commercial teams.
• Oversee the allocation and global distribution of demonstration and evaluation equipment to support project delivery and validation activities.
• Occasionally visit sites to demonstrate how the equipment solves customers' problems.
