Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join its R&D organisation.

The role ensures technical coherence and delivery of complex metrology products from concept to release, acting as the bridge between disciplines to translate customer and business needs into robust architectures. The successful candidate will maintain system architectures, lead trade-off studies, manage requirements and verification, and mentor teams while leveraging AI to improve productivity and reduce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering field.
• Proven experience delivering complex metrology/industrial systems.
• Experience with requirements management and verification/validation.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and uncertainty analysis.
• Experience with risk analysis and FMEA.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document system requirements from stakeholders.
• Maintain system architectures across mechanical, electrical/electronic, firmware and software domains.
• Decompose requirements into subsystem requirements with full traceability.
• Lead system-level trade-off studies and technical decision-making.
• Coordinate integration of subsystems and resolve cross-functional issues.
• Develop and own system integration, verification and validation strategies.
