Job summary

Kraft Recruitment is assisting a client in the UK manufacturing heavy casting sector to recruit a Global Technical Engineer. The role focuses on driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and supporting manufacturing across sites, including travel to Asia.

You will develop ISO 9001 practices, manage product risk and FMEAs, and mentor technicians while coordinating with suppliers and customers to meet demanding specifications.

Qualifications

• Educated to a relevant Engineering qualification.
• Proven engineering experience in product development and manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of heavy castings and machining processes.
• Experience in fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspection reports and tests are recorded before dispatch from suppliers.
• Work with the customer to resolve issues swiftly & efficiently.
• Develop and support the Manufacturing Team based in China.
• Develop and adopt ISO 9001 processes into the China-based operation.
• Support Product risk and FMEAs.
• Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
• Complete development projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Assist factories to develop manufacturing processes by studying requirements and designing methods.
