Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is seeking a Casting Supervisor to oversee sustainable casting processes and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on implementing efficient casting methods, monitoring KPI priorities, and shaping departmental growth.

You will actively lead floor activities, provide technical support on casting processes, and collaborate with Production to maintain smooth operations while mentoring a team to develop robust process

Qualifications

• The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of casting and the ability to lead and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Actively present on the shop floor.
• Provide technical support on casting process-related items.
• Daily dialogue with Production to ensure smooth business operation.
• Ensure the team maintains and develops process documents.
• Develop and implement cost-effective process improvement strategies.
• Lead and manage continuous improvement activities across the department.
• Investigate, resolve and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist the Engineering Manager with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Manage direct reports through effective communication, leadership, coaching and mentoring.
• Promote the company’s HSE policies across the department and plant.
• Lead and drive new product launches, burst builds and tool trials.
