Job summary

Catering in the UK is seeking a Process Engineer to strengthen the manufacturing department at the Shropshire facility. You will drive sustainable processes, develop process documentation and lead continuous improvement projects while liaising with adjoining processes.

Responsibilities include promoting HSE policies, leading on casting defect analysis, PFMEA control, and supporting new product introductions through tool trials and launches.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar manufacturing/process/production engineer role with die-casting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead CI initiatives and improve OEE.
  • Developing process documentation and PFMEA; coaching and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

  • Promote HSE policies across the department and plant.
  • Actively present on the shop floor and provide technical lead on process items.
  • Instigate correct casting defect diagnosis and identify KPIVs.
  • Daily dialogue with the Production Team to ensure processes meet delivery objectives (Tier 3 representation).
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Control PFMEA documentation and actions to reduce risk.
  • Develop and implement CI strategies through OEE improvements and cost avoidance projects.
  • Lead CI activities within upstream processes.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve root cause analysis.
  • Guide others in the business unit through effective communication, leadership, coaching and mentoring.
  • Support implementation of new products through design input, launches and tool trials.
