BAT UK is looking for a Global Sourcing Manager – HR.

Job Details

Role Summary

The Global Sourcing Manager oversees performance (Cost, Quality, Delivery, ESG) and designs/executed the global category sourcing strategy, including:

  • Sourcing to contract (plan, tender, negotiate, contract)
  • Spend and compliance reporting
  • Risk management
  • Contract and Supplier Relationship Management
  • Building peer group or market networks

This role contributes to developing the category and supplier base strategy.

Impact

This role impacts the team by delivering sourcing strategies aligned with business targets and supporting critical issues through supplier management programs.

Accountabilities
  • Achieve performance goals: cost reduction, quality, ESG, innovation, etc.
  • Define and monitor global sourcing strategies and plans.
  • Lead contract negotiations ensuring value and risk mitigation.
  • Develop multi-year cost reduction plans with suppliers.
  • Manage contractual performance and supplier relationships.
  • Assess supplier financial health and address dependencies.
  • Ensure effective communication of category strategies internally.
  • Implement business continuity and proactive risk management.
Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • Knowledge of supply markets, supplier capabilities, and trends.
  • Proven ability in multi-country contract development.
  • Financial evaluation skills and understanding of total cost models.
  • Experience with global projects and performance improvement.
  • Knowledge of regulations and legislation.
  • Strong negotiation, partner management, and communication skills.
  • Digital and analytical skills; ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
  • Preferred: IWS / Lean Manufacturing experience.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • CIPS or similar membership/certification is advantageous.
