Job summary

KFC Global is seeking a Staff Architect to provide architecture leadership across our global restaurant technology portfolio. You will collaborate with product, engineering, market technology teams, and Yum!

architecture teams across digital commerce (Web, Mobile App), loyalty, POS, and restaurant technology. You will guide architecture for initiatives, design cloud-native solutions on AWS, review APIs and integration boundaries, and drive front-end architecture using React and React Native.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, or platform architecture experience.
• Experience designing distributed, cloud-native systems on AWS.
• Experience with digital platforms, microservices, APIs, and integration architecture.
• Experience with React, React Native and Mobile App deployments.
• API design and review experience.
• Experience integrating cloud platforms with enterprise or in-store systems.
• Experience producing architecture diagrams and technical decision records.
• Experience participating in architecture reviews or technical governance.
• Strong technical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide architecture for KFC Global technology initiatives.
• Guide market digital commerce and restaurant technology integration architecture across KFC Global.
• Design and review cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Review integrations, APIs, service boundaries and system responsibilities.
• Review front-end architecture for web and mobile applications using React and React Native, including integration with backend APIs and shared platform capabilities.
• Review data and event-driven designs where needed as part of broader solutions.
• Identify architectural risks, trade-offs, and opportunities for reuse.
• Represent KFC initiatives through Yum!'s Architecture Review Process.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering and product teams.
