Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Primary Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of HV/EHV substation projects. You will shape high voltage infrastructure and develop fully integrated 3D models, drawings, and layouts.

You will coordinate remote global engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with applicable UK regulations including CDM 2015, while liaising with clients and stakeholders for successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Power/Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of strong HV substation design experience encouraged.
• Familiarity with UK transmission/ distribution standards.
• Experience with CAD and BIM/3D tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary plant designs for HV/EHV substations (AIS, GIS, and HVDC).
• Develop and review integrated 3D models and drawings.
• Coordinate remote global engineering teams and mentor juniors.
• Ensure compliance with UK CDM 2015 and safety standards.
