Job summary

Baker Hughes in the United Kingdom is seeking a Global Analyst Riser Design Engineer to join the Flexible Pipe Systems Engineering team. You will receive training to provide global analysis support from bid to project execution, designing flexible riser solutions and modelling with FEA to predict loading and test scenarios.

You'll collaborate with project teams, prepare technical reports, and contribute to continuous improvement while enjoying flexible working patterns: four days in the office

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
• Understanding of Finite Element Analysis.
• Knowledge of structural mechanics and buckling strength analysis.
• Ability to write technical reports and document results.
• Analytical and organizational ability; team player.

Responsibilities

• Create dynamic models in FEA software simulating offshore structure response.
• Design and analyze flexible riser systems to meet specifications and standards.
• Assess environmental and vessel data for model inputs.
• Produce comprehensive analysis reports for studies or project execution.
• Support software automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver value to customers.
