Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Improvement Leader to drive strategic initiatives across five global production sites. You will provide technical leadership, resolve complex process challenges, and work with RD&E to evaluate scalability and commercial viability of new products.

You will develop KPIs, mentor site teams in Six Sigma, and ensure safety and quality while partnering with commercial and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline.
• 5–15 years of experience with ion exchange resins, polymer resins, and water purification technologies.
• Strong technical knowledge of polymerization processes, cross-linking chemistry, polymer functionalization, pendant group chemistry, and chemical manufacturing operations.
• Experience with process safety, regulatory compliance, quality systems, and quality control methodologies within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading and implementing process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives in chemical production facilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional and global teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in an international manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English, written and verbal, is mandatory.
• Ability to travel up to 50% globally.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and resolve complex manufacturing and process challenges across global sites.
• Assess feasibility of new products, market opportunities, and manufacturing technologies.
• Serve as technical liaison for Marketing and RD&E when evaluating scalability and commercial viability of new products and innovations.
• Support process development and startup of new production lines and equipment.
• Drive improvements in process control, product quality, operational efficiency, and cost performance.
• Train, coach, and mentor site teams in process improvement methodologies, process chemistry, Six Sigma, SPC, and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Reinforce a safety-first culture across all actions and decisions.
• Participate in the Global Manufacturing Leadership Team and contribute to operational goals and customer satisfaction.
