Job summary

TLD is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team, drive ISO9001 compliance, and coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain. You will champion continuous improvement and data-driven decision making to deliver a world-class quality proposition.

Role demands strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence the Steering Committee while maintaining UK-based operations with global context.

Qualifications

• ISO9001 Lead Auditor accreditation or internal auditor qualification.
• Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality/Supply Chain with a passion for the product.
• Experience in highly regulated, low-volume, high-spec assembly.
• Excellent cross-time-zone communication skills.
• Data-driven with risk mitigation understanding.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the QA team and maintain quality standards across build and inspection.
• Manage First Article Inspection and cross-functional activities per group guidelines.
• Lead Supplier Quality Management with audits and improvement projects.
• Oversee Quality Management System, documents, and ISO9001 audits.
• Act as a quality advocate influencing multiple departments and steering.
• Develop and maintain department budget and CAPEX for quality tooling.
• Lead audits of materials, processes, products, and systems as needed.
• Communicate the quality proposition clearly across the business.
