Job summary

SLB is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager in Crawley to lead the engineering delivery of gas treatment and sulphur removal projects within our Chemical group. You will coordinate design and development of mechanical equipment and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

You will mentor engineers, oversee ATEX/ASME compliant work, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions for oil & gas, biogas, and water treatment sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred but not essential.
• Project Management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead the successful execution of engineering projects, delivering against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and HSE objectives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, QA, and commissioning to ensure seamless delivery.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships as the main technical and commercial interface from kick-off to completion.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineers, supporting their development and driving excellence.
