Job summary

GM Performance Power Units seeks a Payroll Analyst to manage end-to-end payroll processing for US and UK staff. You will collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll execution, adhere to compliance requirements, and act as a subject matter expert on payroll administration.

Responsibilities include administering multiple payrolls, ensuring timely reporting, and driving continuous improvement across payroll procedures and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years handling multi-state payroll and compliance reporting.
• 3+ years supporting US payroll operations and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Dayforce HCM and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Administer bi-weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls for salaried and hourly employees across GMPPU (US & UK).
• Ensure compliance with US federal/state regulations, international pay practices, and company policies.
• Coordinate with HR for deadlines, auditing, and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain payroll reporting accuracy including earnings, tax filings, and garnishments.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries promptly.
• Support payroll system configuration updates in Dayforce HCM.
• Audit procedures and state tax allocations validation for every cycle.
• Enter and validate payroll and benefit information into related systems.
