Job summary

Syntegon's Kliklok division in Bristol, UK, is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program and commission advanced control systems for packaging machines. You will develop operator interfaces, monitor production data and ensure controls meet safety and quality standards across in-house and customer sites.

We value hands-on engineers with PLC experience (Rockwell, Beckhoff), 2D wiring diagram skills (AutoCAD/EPLAN), and an HNC or equivalent.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with PLC programming and control systems.
• Knowledge of Rockwell and Beckhoff PLCs.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or EPLAN for wiring diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Program and commission packaging machines, in-house and at customer sites.
• Develop operator interfaces to monitor and optimise production data.
• Design control systems meeting electrical and safety standards.
• Perform risk analyses and evaluate safety-related functions.
• Generate electrical bills of materials to support procurement and project execution.
