Job summary

Automation Experts in the West Midlands seeks two experienced Control Systems Engineers to design, develop and commission PLC software for bespoke industrial automation. You will work on projects across automotive, food & beverage, aerospace and pharma, with hybrid/flexible working and regular customer-site visits across the UK.

• Practical experience of control-system fault finding and site commissioning.
• Experience producing clear technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC software for bespoke industrial automation systems.
• Program Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Configure and commission VFDs, servo drives, motion systems and fieldbus networks.
• Read electrical drawings, I/O schedules and functional specifications.
• Carry out fault finding during build, testing and commissioning.
