Job summary

AVASK Global Compliance is a rapidly expanding international firm that specialises in VAT, tax and accounting for e-commerce businesses. The Operations Manager role at AVASK Southampton focuses on delivering operational excellence across a global footprint, driving improvements, and ensuring consistency and client focus across service lines.

The successful candidate will lead multi-jurisdictional workflows, coordinate with partners and internal teams, and leverage automation to enhance accuracy

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree Level in Business/Operations/Technology/Information Systems or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective operational leadership across AVASK’s Group offices, ensuring global teams align to policies, procedures and performance expectations.
• Develop understanding of AVASK’s global tax compliance environment, including how VAT, EPR, customs, accountancy and advisory services interact for international clients.
• Ensure end-to-end client journey across multiple jurisdictions with clear ownership, handovers, controls and escalation routes.
• Contribute to improvements in software systems, automation and workflow design to deliver efficiencies and enhanced customer experience.
• Monitor KPIs, service levels, quality trends and risks to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Drive process optimisation via automation, AI tools, data analytics and standardised SOPs to boost productivity.
• Coordinate between departments and service partners to avoid duplication and delays in service delivery.
• Work with Service Partners to ensure service levels and client standards are met and dependencies managed.
• Capture non-conformance, risk and opportunity feedback to support continuous improvement and root-cause analysis.
• Stay abreast of industry best practice and ISO 27001 information security controls.

Education

BSc/BA in Business Management, Operations Management, Technology Management, Information Systems or a relevant field
