Job summary

Purple is seeking a Media Sales Director to build and lead its advertising and sponsorship business worldwide, starting with the UK. This senior, quota-carrying role requires winning new advertisers, creating sponsorship packages, and driving multi-year partnerships.

You will collaborate with Product and Marketing to shape offerings and maintain a robust CRM pipeline. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in advertising or sponsorship sales, proven revenue growth, and strong relationships with brand

Qualifications

• 8 or more years in advertising, media or sponsorship sales
• Proven track record of multi-year deals
• Strong relationships with brand marketing teams and media agencies
• Hands-on knowledge of paid social and search (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Google)
• Ability to discuss reach, cost per customer won and ROAS in plain terms
• Experience selling to consumer brands (hospitality, retail, leisure) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own a senior quota for advertising and sponsorship revenue across the World, initially the UK
• Find and win new advertisers, sponsors and brand partners
• Build and sell sponsorship and partnership packages with measurable results
• Lead campaign planning with advertisers: audience strategy, channel mix, budget and measurement
• Grow revenue with existing advertisers and sponsors through reporting and renewals
• Move clients to always-on activity and multi-year partnerships
• Shape the media proposition, packaging and rate card with Product and Marketing
• Keep an accurate pipeline and forecast in our CRM
• Represent Purple at marketing, media and sponsorship industry events
