Job summary

AIS Marine Ltd in Plymouth is seeking a technically minded Marine Technical Business Development Manager to drive growth across UK and Norwegian manufacturing operations, combining engineering expertise with commercial development.

Based in Plymouth with regular international travel, you will build relationships with customers, identify opportunities, and work with sales, engineering, and production teams to craft technically attractive solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Design or related technical discipline.
• Strong technical aptitude to understand complex products and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and commercial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to support growth across UK and Norwegian facilities.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities by promoting manufacturing capabilities across both sites.
• Build relationships with customers and expand business through new products and solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, design and production teams to develop technically attractive solutions.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular reporting on opportunities and forecasts.
