Pertemps Leeds is hiring a Logistics Officer for an on-site role in Uttoxeter. The position covers UK and international shipments, coordinating transport, preparing documentation, and supporting day-to-day warehouse activities.

A hands-on role that blends administration with physical logistics tasks in a regulated environment. Key duties include liaising with freight providers, managing goods-in/goods-out, and ensuring compliant documentation for road, air and sea transport.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, warehousing or shipping.
• Experience with goods-in/goods-out or stock movements.
• A valid forklift licence.
• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Good IT skills including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate UK and international logistics activities, including shipments and collections.
• Liaise with approved freight providers to organise transport by road, air and sea.
• Prepare and maintain shipping, customs and export documentation.
• Support the transportation of dangerous goods and ensure correct procedures.
• Operate forklift and other equipment to load, unload and move goods.
• Ensure correct packaging, labeling and palletising for dispatch.
