Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Transport Planner in Uttoxeter to join a global leader in a regulated industrial environment. You will coordinate UK and international shipments, arrange transport by road, air and sea, and handle shipping documentation while supporting day-to-day warehouse activities.

The role blends administrative duties with practical warehouse tasks, requiring organisation, safety focus and the ability to work with internal teams and external providers.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or a similar operational environment.
• Experience with goods-in / goods-out, dispatch or stock movements.
• Forklift truck licence and safe warehouse practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate UK and international shipments, arranging logistics and collections.
• Liaise with freight providers to organise road, air and sea transport.
• Prepare and maintain shipping, transport, customs and export documents.
• Support transport of dangerous goods with correct documentation.
• Work with DGSA to comply with transport legislation.
• Prepare consignments for dispatch, including packaging and labelling.
• Manage goods-in and goods-out, receiving deliveries and stocking.
• Ensure shipments are correctly identified and documented before departure.
• Operate forklift trucks and other handling equipment safely.
• Monitor packaging materials and maintain a clean, safe warehouse.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
