dSb Recruitment Consultancy Ltd. is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator for a consumer products business based in Wigan.

The role is hands-on, managing international shipments and coordinating with factories, freight forwarders, carriers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has solid international shipping experience, strong knowledge of sea/air freight, Bills of Lading and customs documentation, and the ability to resolve issues quickly in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in international shipping, freight or logistics coordination.
• Strong knowledge of sea freight and air freight, Bills of Lading and international shipping documentation.
• Experience liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers and factories.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily domestic and international shipments with carriers, freight forwarders and factories.
• Manage shipments via Sea Freight and Air Freight, ensuring collections and deliveries are arranged efficiently.
• Prepare and check shipping and customs documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and customs declarations.
• Liaise with factories and overseas teams to coordinate collections and ensure shipments are ready on time.
• Track shipments with freight forwarders and carriers and resolve delays, customs issues, damages or other exceptions.
• Support the customs clearance process and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Provide shipment updates to internal teams including Sales and Customer Service.
• Maintain accurate shipping data across internal systems, trading files and customer portals.
• Check freight invoices and support the management and optimisation of shipping costs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies across the logistics operation.
