Job summary

Ciena is seeking a Logistics Analytics & Optimisation Lead to drive data-informed decisions across global logistics operations. You will analyse routing, service levels, and carrier selection to optimise the supply chain and reduce costs while maintaining customer satisfaction.

You'll lead collaboration with regional teams and external providers, run RFIs/RFPs with Procurement, and develop Power BI dashboards for automation and visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8+ years relevant work experience.
• 3+ years international logistics experience.
• Experience applying data analysis methodologies in logistics.
• Strong Excel; working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Access; Oracle preferred.
• Experience creating dashboards with Power BI.
• Ability to collaborate across Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Shipping, Accounts Payable.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse routing, service levels, carrier choices to optimise global supply chain and cut costs.
• Collaborate with regional teams and providers to implement routing changes that save costs.
• Lead engagement with logistics suppliers to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Conduct RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs with Procurement from definitions to evaluation.
• Develop logistics reporting and Power BI dashboards for automation and visibility.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives with Finance and operations for end-to-end visibility.
• Deliver quarterly reviews, executive reporting, and cost estimates.
• Engage with freight invoice audit company to ensure timely processing.
