Job summary

Ciena is seeking a Logistics Analytics & Optimization Lead to drive data-informed decisions across global logistics operations. This role will analyse routing, service levels, and carrier choices to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining customer satisfaction.

You will develop Power BI dashboards, collaborate with regional teams and external providers, and lead cost-reduction initiatives with Finance to deliver end-to-end visibility of logistics performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• 3+ years experience in international logistics.
• Data analysis methodologies applied in logistics or supply chain.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access; Oracle experience preferred.
• Experience creating dashboards with Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Analyse shipment routing, service levels, carrier selection, and logistics data to identify opportunities to optimise the global supply chain.
• Collaborate with regional logistics teams, internal stakeholders, and external providers to implement routing changes that deliver savings.
• Lead engagement with logistics suppliers to resolve operational issues and improve performance.
• Develop logistics reporting, metrics, and Power BI dashboards for automation and visibility.
• Lead logistics cost reduction initiatives and provide end-to-end cost visibility with Finance.
