Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Learning Designer for Cardiff with a hybrid role (2 days from home). You will transform complex information into engaging, practical learning across a global manufacturing context, collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders across functions and countries.

You’ll design digital, blended and self-directed learning experiences, build structured learning journeys and apply adult-learning principles to improve performance and business impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in Learning Design, Instructional Design, Digital Learning, L&D or similar role.
• Experience designing digital and blended learning solutions.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning and instructional-design principles.
• Experience creating structured learning journeys, programmes or pathways.
• Ability to simplify technical information for learners.
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Strong writing, storytelling and content-design skills.
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and authoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging digital, blended and self-directed learning experiences for employees.
• Create structured learning journeys and pathways from knowledge to practical application.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex information into engaging content.
• Lead discovery sessions to identify learning needs and requirements.
• Create microlearning, digital content and performance-support resources.
• Apply adult learning principles to learner-centred solutions.
• Utilise storytelling and visuals to aid understanding and retention.
• Coach SMEs to structure and communicate knowledge effectively.
• Ensure learning solutions leverage available technology effectively.
• Design reusable learning that scales across teams and locations.
• Gather learner feedback and use data to improve learning experiences.
