Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our MRO operations. You will assemble and test single-aisle landing gear components, working in a diverse team to meet weekly shipset targets.

The role requires an engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ, plus experience reading drawings, maintenance manuals, and applying precision measurement techniques. Lean Sigma and 5S knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have an engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ.
• Experience assembling complex mechanical products.
• Ability to read component maintenance manuals, drawings and engineering layouts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test Airbus Single Aisle family nose and forestay, and main gears and sidestays with quality at a high level.
• Continuously improve quality and efficiency of assembly and test processes.
• Deliver a product in line with quality, cost and delivery goals.
