Vincere is seeking a Customs Clearance Clerk in Felixstowe to manage import/export declarations and support end-to-end clearance. You will work with internal teams, customers, and external partners to ensure compliant, timely deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires prior customs clearance experience, solid knowledge of UK processes, and proficiency with customs software/TMS and MS Office. A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong communication skills are essential.

Competenze

• Previous experience in customs clearance (freight forwarding or logistics environment).
• Strong understanding of import/export procedures and customs documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Confident using internal systems (customs software/TMS) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Local knowledge of UK customs processes is essential.

Mansioni

• Prepare and submit customs declarations/entries (import and export) accurately and on time.
• Check documentation for compliance (commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, etc.).
• Ensure correct commodity codes, customs procedure codes, and valuations are applied.
• Liaise with HMRC, customers, hauliers, shipping lines, and internal operations teams.
• Monitor clearance progress and resolve delays or queries quickly and professionally.
• Maintain compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures.
• Keep accurate records and update internal systems with clearance activity.
• Provide clear updates to customers and colleagues throughout the process.
