Job summary

The Oval Partnership is seeking a hands-on HR Business Partner to shape and develop the HR function within a growing international business. This standalone role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compliance, with scope to evolve as the business grows.

You will partner with operations across the UK and international sites, advising managers, managing the full employee lifecycle, and driving an engaging, compliant workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HR Business Partner or generalist across multiple countries.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and full lifecycle HR.
• Experience handling complex employee relations and advising managers.
• Experience supporting recruitment end-to-end.
• Experience working with international teams and external employment providers.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers across the UK and international operations.
• Influence stakeholders to drive people decisions and support organizational growth and transformation.
• Lead employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll support, and records management.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, governance requirements, and company policies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with Employer of Record providers and international colleagues to support global workforce management.
• Continuously improve HR processes, systems, and ways of working to enhance efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.
• Foster employee engagement and help build a positive, high-performing culture aligned with business objectives.
• Facilitate and track professional services agreements with independent contractors.
