Job summary

McDonalds UK is seeking a UK Manager of Physical & Technical Security to lead and develop security strategies for corporate assets, people and information. Based in East Finchley with worldwide travel, you will manage the security department, budgets and vendor relationships, and drive security policy integration across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years in physical & technical security with at least 3 in a leadership role.
• Experience developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Multi-disciplinary security knowledge: physical, risk and information security.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Experience operating with a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and tech trends.
• Knowledge in Executive Protection and Intelligence.
• 3 years of military or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the corporate security department.
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with law enforcement and agencies.
• Develop and manage security operation budgets and monitor variances.
• Develop and implement global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure security strategies are integrated into risk management.
• Provide leadership, direction, and training to global security teams.
• Manage and train security personnel and contractors.
• Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and recommend enhancements.
• Oversee incident response planning and investigations of breaches.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to embed security measures.
• Manage security vendors including RFPs.
• Stay informed of latest security threats and trends.
• Collaborate with Corporate HQ to align global initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with local community.
• Manage and maintain security technology (cameras, access control, alarms).
• Coordinate with Emergency Services (fire and life safety).
• Maintain employee duty of care.
• Streamline security systems to communicate globally where applicable.
• Consult on all corporate office builds and modifications globally.
