Job summary

McDonalds in the UK seeks a Consultant, Quality Assurance Engineering to oversee testing environments, both physical and virtual, and to drive automation for faster, reliable deployments across the restaurant estate.

You will manage a Tech Business Analyst and coordinate with offshore labs, ensuring alignment between technical quality and business requirements while leading partnerships with testing providers.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of QA and BA teams.
• Experience with environment management, configuration, and automation.
• Experience setting up pilot programs in test environments.
• Strong communication and dependency management.
• PM experience (Agile or Waterfall).
• Advanced Jira/Confluence with Zephyr Scale usage.

Responsibilities

• Testing Environment Management: maintain on-site and offshore labs and ensure lab setup, hardware procurement and software versioning.
• Automation Leadership: drive test automation frameworks, set targets and report impact on defect detection and deployment speed.
• Defect Leakage & Incident Reduction: lead cross-functional triage, develop dashboards and reduce incidents.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: align UK testing with Global strategy and inform stakeholders with feedback loops.
• Continuous Improvement & Metrics: track KPIs for automation, defect leakage and incident reduction.
• Stakeholder Engagement: lead multi-functional meetings and ensure quality across initiatives.
• Managed Test Service & Partner Management: oversee testing contracts and partner performance.
