Job summary

Avalere Health is seeking a Head of Compliance & Data Privacy to lead global compliance and data privacy programmes. The role collaborates with senior leaders, drives pragmatic risk controls, and aligns with laws across jurisdictions.

You will promote an ethical culture, oversee AI compliance, and manage third-party due diligence. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role shapes governance, training, and incident management while ensuring commercial objectives are balanced with regulatory

Qualifications

• Substantial compliance and data privacy experience gained in-house, in professional services or in a regulated environment.
• Global data privacy experience with GDPR knowledge and related requirements.
• AI compliance experience: assess AI use cases and embed controls.
• Due diligence on third parties including ABAC and conflicts of interest.
• Confidentiality and accountability with ability to advise senior leaders.
• Leadership experience: setting expectations and coaching team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead Avalere Health's global compliance programme and provide pragmatic guidance.
• Oversee privacy compliance and risk across the organisation, including DPIAs and notices.
• Monitor AI legislation and translate requirements into practical controls.
• Manage anti-bribery, conflicts and due diligence on clients and suppliers.
• Maintain policies, training and governance frameworks; report material risks.
• Lead incidents and investigations and coordinate regulator responses.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure practical, balanced compliance outcomes.
