Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Controller in Cambridgeshire to own financial control, reporting, tax, and compliance for a global technology and manufacturing business.

This role combines IFRS accounting, governance, budgeting, forecasting, process improvement, and team leadership, collaborating with UK and international finance teams to drive performance and strong controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with relevant professional designation.
• Strong IFRS accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing/technology environment and in multinational organisations.
• People management experience and ability to lead a small finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely statutory reporting and year-end disclosures.
• Manage monthly group reporting and audits; liaise with auditors.
• Coordinate VAT and UK tax reporting; support R&D tax incentives.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for senior leadership.
• Partner with operations to improve controls and drive business performance.
• Oversee inventory reporting and governance across supply chains.
