Job summary

The Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an Area Finance Controller in Harlow, Essex. You will lead a small finance team and own financial reporting, budgeting, and controls within a multinational environment.

You will manage month-end closes, tax filings, audits, and compliance with UK GAAP/FRS 102, while partnering with senior management to drive accuracy and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience at Finance Manager or equivalent level.
• Experience in a multinational organisation is preferred.
• Professional accounting qualification is required.
• Degree or equivalent in finance/accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Produce budgets and financial forecasts.
• Prepare cost-centre reporting.
• Manage annual audits.
• Support tax filings and statutory accounts.
• Manage cash and treasury activity.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Maintain accurate financial ledgers.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP / FRS 102.
• Maintain effective internal financial controls.
• Support ERP finance systems.
• Lead and develop junior finance colleagues.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management.

Are you an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller looking for a senior finance position within an international business?

We are recruiting for an Area Finance Controller to take responsibility for financial reporting, controls, compliance, budgeting and team leadership within a multinational environment.

You will lead a small finance team while maintaining strong financial governance and supporting wider business decision-making.

The Role

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Produce budgets and financial forecasts
• Prepare cost-centre reporting
• Manage annual audits
• Support tax filings and statutory accounts
• Manage cash and treasury activity
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Maintain accurate financial ledgers

What We’re Looking For

• At least three years' experience at Finance Manager or equivalent level
• Previous experience within a multinational organisation
• Professional accountancy qualification
• Degree or equivalent finance/accounting background
• Strong GL accounting knowledge
• Experience across tax, costing, AP, AR and financial reporting
• Strong ERP systems experience
• Advanced Excel capability
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good understanding of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
