Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a team of engineers. The role covers reactive and preventative maintenance on specialist machinery, with nationwide and international travel.

The position is permanent, with a Monday-Thursday 8:15am-17:30pm and Friday 8:15am-12:30pm schedule, based in Leicestershire. Your responsibilities include installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing machines, performing fault-finding, calibration and customer training.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing mechanical, electrical or electromechanical machinery.
• Mechanical background with electrical knowledge; pneumatics experience a plus.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities; independent decision-maker.
• Good communication and customer service skills; able to explain technical issues clearly.
• Full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair machinery; perform fault-finding and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out alignments and calibration to ensure accurate operation.
• Visit customer sites to resolve issues, train users and report progress.
• In-house builds, maintain tools/test equipment and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Identify spare parts, service contracts and renewals while building customer relationships.
