Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd invites applications for a Service & Repair Engineer. The role combines customer-facing field service work with workshop-based engineering across the UK and beyond, handling installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance on complex equipment.

You will be the on-site contact ensuring work is safe, efficient and high quality, with workshop involvement when not on client sites. Travel and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous field service or site-based engineering experience.
• Experience working on large scale industrial machinery.
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience.
• Experience within Power, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair activities at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective engineering solutions.
• Act as the main customer contact during site activities.
• Supervise customer personnel, contractors and third-party labour where required.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Participate in risk assessments and promote safe working practices.
• Deliver projects to agreed specifications, schedules and quality standards.
• Support overhaul, assembly, inspection and testing of equipment.
• Work closely with engineering and management teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and efficient resource utilisation.
